Scouts – 10ยฝ to 14 years
Week in and week out, Scouts gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.
Being a Scout
Scouts in the UK are part of the The Scout Association and are designed for young people aged around 10ยฝโ14 years old. This section is all about increasing independence, building real-world skills, and taking on more exciting challengesโboth outdoors and in the community.
What Scouts is about:
- 🧗 Adventure & challenge: camping, hiking, climbing, and survival skills
- 🔧 Practical skills: first aid, navigation, cooking, and problem-solving
- 🌍 Teamwork & leadership: working in patrols and learning to lead others
- 🏅 Badges & awards: progressing through a wide range of skill-based challenges
- 🚀 New experiences: from international trips to community projects and expeditions
